Anyone who is aged 21 and over who lives in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset or the Isles of Scilly can ask to be assessed as an adopter by Families for Children Trust regardless of marital status, disability, gender, religion or sexual orientation.

However people who do not have habitual residence/domicile in the UK cannot have an adoption order made in their favour in an English/Welsh court.
