Thank you to Michelmores Solicitors who have come up with a fantastic way to raise money for FFC during National Adoption Week. Here's a copy of their recent staff bulletin.
Michelmores Virtual Baby Challenge National Adoption Week (9-15 November)!
The Family Team are arranging a Virtual Baby Challenge to raise money for Families for Children and BBC Children in Need in conjunction with National Adoption Week.
We have been lent 4 'fake babies' (the type they give to teenage girls to make them think carefully before starting a family) for National Adoption Week.
The idea is for a member of staff to take a fake baby home for each weekday evening and look after it overnight.
The challenge is to care for the fake baby between 6.00 pm and 9.00 am during a chosen day between 9 and 15 November. This includes feeding, cuddling and comforting it. At the end of the week, the baby will produce a computer printout which will reveal the carer's parenting skills.
In order to raise money, members of staff will be encouraged to bet on which of the volunteers is the best "parent". We can even guarantee an easy or cranky baby (the judges are happy to be bribed!). More on this later!
All monies raised will be split between Families for Children and BBC Children in Need.
The challenge would be a fun way for us to show our support for National Adoption Week whilst raising some money for good causes!!
Well done Michelmores!
